Live at the Taphouse this Sunday!

Jazmin Witt | 1700 | 18/8/24

This is a big one Taphouse crew – I hope you can all get out to support an incredibly talented young local musician just starting out on her career.

Singer-songwriter Jazmin Witt is a young, emotively powerful local artist from Newton Abbot, with poetic lyrics and unpredictable melodies and progressions, she has the ability to lift and carry a room.

Through grief and rejection she has flourished. Her lyrics write themselves through her life experiences – likened to the works of Amy Winehouse, Paolo Nutini and Jeff Buckley.

Starting out as a hobby suggested by her Mum, Jazmin had piano lessons for a couple of years before showing resentment towards theory exams, and taking music into her own hands.

After finishing music college in Exeter, she has released a single called They’ll Go Home, and is aspiring to release an album to provide reassurance and comfort to a wider audience whilst maintaining an intimate and formidable atmosphere.
