If you want to pick up your order directly from us then we will give you an extra 10% off your purchase price. In order to take advantage of this choose ‘click & collect’ at the checkout and select the time and day that’s best for you to pick up. We’ll then pack your order right away, send a confirmation email and your order will then be ready to pick up during our shop and bar opening hours. Due to space constraints, orders must be collected within 10 days unless by prior arrangement, after this time the stock will be allocated back into stock and sold. We of course will then refund the cost on request.


We will aim to dispatch any orders placed Monday–Thursday within 24 hours, and while we use a next day delivery partner we cannot  guarantee that this can always be achieved.  

Any orders placed after 11am on Thursdays will be dispatched the following Monday (Excluding National Holidays). 

Delivery Fee

We charge a standard shipping fee of £7 (up to two day delivery*for orders to the UK mainland (please see restrictions and surcharges below). We have chosen our delivery partner based on personal experience and the belief they offer the best service to us and to you. We cover part of the delivery cost to keep this as low as possible and while it may be slightly more expensive than some other outlets we are continually looking to balance this fee charged with ensuring we work with a quality courier.

Parcel Weight Restrictions

Customers can purchase up to 15kg of goods in one order, all covered within our standard delivery fee. That works at about 25 440ml cans or 16 500ml bottles. However, for any heavier purchases there is a further delivery charge of £5*. This does also apply to our home brew equipment and supplies. All this will be automatically worked out at the checkout for you.

Free Mainland UK Shipping

If you spend over £60 with us you can expect free shipping (Mainland UK excluding all areas listed within Zones 2- 4 below). All this will be automatically worked out at the checkout for you.

Delivering Fresh Beer

At Maltings Taphouse & Bottleshop we ensure that our beers are stored at the ideal temperatures and we want to get your beer to you as fresh as possible. To avoid that beer sitting in uncontrolled temperatures over the weekend any orders placed after 11am on a Thursday will be dispatched on the Monday after for delivery. Although this slows things down slightly we believe it means you get the product in the best condition. Our courier will provide you with tracking information and options should you need to rearrange delivery. If you have any questions regarding your delivery then please get in touch.

Zonal Charges

There are a number of specific areas of the UK which are subject to higher delivery charges and these are detailed below:

Zone 2 – £18 per delivery (up to 15kg)

The Highlands Scotland covering postcodes AB36-38, AB55-56, FK17-21, IV1-39, IV52-54, IV63, KW1-14, PA21-40, PH19-26, PH30-41, PH49-50

Zone 3 – £25 per delivery (up to 15kg)

Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man and Isles of Scilly covering all postcodes at these locations.

Zone 4 – £30 per delivery (up to 15kg)

Northern Ireland and Islands of Scotland including these postcodes  HS1-9, IV40-51, IV55-56, KA27-28, KW15-17, PA20, PA41-49, PA60-78, PH42-44, ZE1-3 and all for Northern Ireland (BT).

Parcels dispatched for delivery to an address in Zone 2, 3 and 4 are subject to a higher delivery fee which will automatically be calculated at checkout. They will also not be eligible for the overnight delivery service with an estimated two day delivery (Monday – Thursday) however our couriers cannot always guarantee this.

We are also unable to offer ‘overweight’ parcel deliveries to Zones 2-4 at this time however we are constantly reviewing this to ensure we can offer the fairest delivery service to our customers.  

Delivery to Channel Islands

Through our courier provider we are able to offer deliveries to the Channel Islands and these fall under Zone 3 for delivery fees. Unfortunately we cannot extend the free delivery option to this location.

International Shipping

We currently do not ship outside the UK but please feel free to get in touch and we will see what we can do and provide a quote.


We use thick walled cardboard boxes and paper or compostable packing material – we try to avoid plastic where possible but will sometimes reuse bubble wrap from any packaging in orders we receive.


Very occasionally, an order may arrive damaged due to courier mishandling. We prefer to refund on these rare occasions rather than use more wasteful packaging on every delivery. If your delivery arrives damaged, please send us a photo of the package and broken contents and we will arrange a refund or, if practical, a replacement.

If you’re unhappy with your delivery, please contact us via the ‘contact us page’ within seven working days after it’s received. The items must be returned in their original condition and packaging within 14 days from the date of delivery of your order. We will refund the value of your order minus any discounts and delivery charges. Ensuring the safe return of the package and postage cost will be the responsibility of you, the customer.


Title is retained with Maltings Taphouse Ltd until payment in full is received, and until you, the customer, take final delivery of the goods.

We make every effort to supply goods as shown on our web site, however occasionally we do have to substitute beers for an alternative of equal or greater value, where a valid substitute is available. In the event this needs to happen, we will always attempt to contact you first.
